REBELS' SALE MEETING PUT OFF BY BAD WEATHER
Thursday's bad weather forced a group of out-of-town investors to postpone their trip to Roanoke for a scheduled meeting in which they were to discuss buying the Roanoke Valley Rebels East Coast Hockey League franchise from owner Henry Brabham.Brabham said Thursday that his meeting with the unidentified group of investors has been rescheduled for today.
Brabham said Wednesday he plans to offer the investors a proposal to buy the franchise and keep it in Vinton. If an agreement can't be struck, Brabham said, he plans to sell the franchise to another party planning to move it to Birmingham, Ala., after the season ends.
