SOUTHER, ALICE H.

Mrs. Alice Hancock Souther, age 74 of Silver Spring, Md. and originally of Franklin Co., died Thursday, February 13, 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Augustus Souther in September 1981. Surviving are four sisters, Eliza H. Davis, Rocky Mount; Mary H. Reynolds and Viola Roberts, both of Washington, D.C.; V. Opal Arduino, College Park, Md.; three brothers, F. Mason Hancock and Posey Hancock, both of Rocky Mount; J. Russell Hancock, Bradenton, Fla.; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 1992 at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Forrest Reynolds and the Rev. William Pugh. Burial will follow in the Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Organ Fund of Memorial Methodist Church or to the Holy Cross Home Hospice, c/o 9805 Dameron Drive, Silver Spring, Md. 20902. Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
