JOHNSON, LELAND S.Rev. Leland S. Johnson, age 90, died February 14. He was born February 2, 1902 in Richmond, the son of the late Thomas Edward and Ida Small Johnson. He was a veteran of WWII. He was a Methodist minister and served the charges of Callaghan, Rock Spring, Claremont, Rehoboth, Bethlehem and New Hope. He retired in 1974 and served as a supply minister on the Otter charge, Mt. Tabor and Olivet. He is survived by a son, Leland Johnson, Jr. of Lexington; a daughter, Nancy J. Kidd of Richmond; six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oxford Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 17 with the Rev. Barton Hellmuth and the Rev. Joseph Carson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
