TECH COACH SAYS RIVERS' SPRAIN BAD

Virginia Tech basketball coach Bill Foster said forward John Rivers' sprained ankle didn't look good at practice Friday.

He said Rivers shot free throws and did nothing else.

The struggling Hokies play host to 14th-ranked Tulane today at 1 p.m., and it looks like they will be without their second-leading scorer and top rebounder.

"I'd be amazed if he played," Foster said.
