BLACKSBURG WINS REGION IV TRACK MEET

Blacksburg's Katie Ollendick dominated the Region IV girls' track meet Wednesday by sweeping four firsts and running on the Indians' winning 1,600-meter relay team.

Blacksburg won the team title with 136 points to 93 by runner-up Christiansburg.

The Blue Demons won the boys' title, paced by Darrell Lucas's three victories and two more by Brian Eigel. Christiansburg had 183 points to far outdistance runner-up Radford with 70.

The Bobcats' Tommy Edwards also was a three-time winner in boys' competition. - Staff report
