GEORGE WYTHE UPSETS LEBANON

The loss was the first in district play this season for the Pioneers (14-3 overall, 11-1 Hogoheegee), who entered the game as the state's seventh-ranked team in Group A.

After Bourne's two free throws put the Maroons (14-7, 11-3) up by two, Lebanon had a final shot to tie, but Ben Campbell's 10-footer dropped off the rim at the horn.

Guard Chris Waddell had a huge game for the Maroons, making three 3-pointers en route to 28 points. Sie Dickerson contributed 14 points for Wythe.

Aaron Fuller paced Lebanon with 17 points, and Brian Summers had 16. \
