Melody Lynn Kessler and Lawrence Richard Britton are engaged and planning to be married May 16, 1992. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles St. Patrick Kessler of Roanoke. She graduated from Lord Botetourt and is employed by Amoco Food Shop as Asst. Manager for three stores. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Richard Britton. He graduated from East Aurora High in East Aurora, N. Y., and from Nashville Auto Diesel College. He is employed by Carter Machinery, Inc.
