MAXWELL-HATTER
Melissa Diane Hatter and Gary Marshall Maxwell were married February 15,
1992 at the First Wesleyan Church on Peters Creek Road, Roanoke. The Reverend
Billy J. Boggs, uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. The bride was
given in marriage by her father, Harry A. Hatter. The matron of honor was
Diane Simms, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Kimberly Hatter,
sister-in-law, and Margaret Gilson, a special friend from Florida. The
flowergirl was Megan Tatman, cousin of the bride. The best man was George M.
Maxwell, father of the groom. Usher were Eric Hatter, brother of the bride,
and Rick Shepherd. Ringbearer was Jonathan Tatman, cousin of the bride. The
guestbook was attended by Amy Maslich, stepsister. The bride is the daughter
of Phyllis B. Scruggs of Salem, and Harry A. Hatter of Roanoke. The groom is
the son of George M. Maxwell, of Roanoke, and Dorothy Williams of Round Rock,
Texas. The newlyweds are employed by the V.A. Medical Center and will live in
Roanoke after a short wedding trip to Williamsburg.
