TOTTEN-BUCHANAN
Emily Elizabeth Buchanan and Kevin Lee Totten were married February 8,
1992, in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Willis S. Buchanan
and the Rev. Mark Radecke officiating. The reception was held at Patrick Henry
Hotel. The maid of honor was Marilyn Bussey, a friend. The bridesmaids were
Karen Dame, Cynthia Reed, sisters of the bride; Karen Totten, sister of the
groom; Betsy and Stacey Ferguson, cousins of the bride. The best man was
Raymond K. Totten, father of the groom. The ushers included Scott W. Buchanan,
brother of the bride; Jerry D. Thompson and Gregory S. Graham, friends;
Charles W. Totten, uncle of the groom. The acolyte was Jessica Radecke and the
guestbook attendant was Susie Sipos. The bride wore the gown worn by her birth
mother, the late Zona "Bubbles" Elizabeth Garst. She carried a cascade of
white roses above a wedding bible. The bride is the daughter of the Rev.
Willis S. and Kathryn Buchanan of Roanoke. She graduated from Northside High
School and attended Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by
Roanoke County Police Department. The groom is the son of Mr. Raymond K. and
Sue Totten of Roanoke. He graduated from Northside High School and attended
Virginia Western Community College. He is employed by Salem Fire Department.
The newlyweds will make their home in Roanoke after a wedding trip to the
Smoky Mountains.
