GOAD, WILLIAM O., JR.
William Otey (Jr.) Goad, age 67 of Salem, died Saturday, February 15, 1992. He was retired from the U. S. Navy and the VA Medical Center. He was a life time member of the V.F.W. and the Fleet Reserves. He is survived by two sons, William O. Goad, III, William E. Topple; one daughter, Rena L. Blankenship, and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Topple; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mavis Grubb of Roanoke; Gladys and Everett Owen and Frances Broughman of Salem; two grandsons, Todd Topple and John K. Baker; three granddaughters, Jennifer Topple, Mary Johanna Dickinson and Joanne Dickinson; one great-grandson, Justin A. Dickinson; four nieces and three nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. Dee C. Flory officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Burial Park.
