AKERS, ANNE M.Mrs. Anne Moseley Akers, age 62 of Mount Vernon Road, S.W., died on Monday. She was the daughter of the late Gladys C. and Bruce D. Moseley. Mrs. Akers received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Lawnwood College in 1952 and her Masters in Education from the University of Virginia in 1975. She retired in 1991 from the Roanoke City School Systems after sixteen years of service. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mr. Bruce M. Akers, Tampa, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Akers, Roanoke; daughter, Margaret C. Akers, Roanoke; granddaughter, Kathryn D. Akers, Roanoke; several aunts and uncles, Mrs. Ruth C. Staton, Miss Una M. Carter, Mrs. Carol C. Howell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin D. Carter, all of Roanoke; Mrs. Geraldine C. Crane, Boonton, N.J.; and cousins, Mrs. Julia M. Wimmer and husband John E., Roanoke; Mrs. Ruth M. Goodman, St. Petersburg, Fla. Mrs. Akers is also survived by innumerable friends. Services will be conducted Thursday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Raleigh Court United Methodist Church with Dr. Gregory L. Adkins officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Burial Park. Arrangements are by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel where friends may call Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
