MONTGOMERY, JOEL A.

Joel Andrew Montgomery, age 96 of Rt. 1, died Tuesday, February 18, 1992, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Annie Jamison Montgomery; seven children, Frances and husband, James Rutrough of Boones Mill; Crist A. and wife, Ethelene of Wirtz; Levi H. and wife, Lydia of Wirtz; Jacob E. and wife, Mary of Union, Ohio; J. Howard and wife, Goldie of Greenville, Ohio; Robert J. and wife, Carol of Wirtz; Catherine and husband, Elwood Bowman of Rocky Mount; thirty-one grandchildren, ninety two great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Peters of Covington, Ohio; and Sallie Bower of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Oak Hill German Baptist Church by the Home Brethren. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the residence. Flowers are omitted. Lynch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
