BOTETOURT MEN GUILTY IN DRUG CONSPIRACY

Two Botetourt County men, arrested in August with 89 "hits" of LSD, both pleaded guilty Tuesday in Botetourt Circuit Court to conspiracy to distribute the hallucinogenic drug.

John Cason Newbern, 19, of Troutville, and Michael Gene Heiler, 18, of Cloverdale, were arrested after a Sheriff's Department undercover investigation that resulted in the raid of a county home.

Circuit Judge Duncan Byrd delayed sentencing until April, after pre-sentencing background reports can be prepared on both men.
