PARENTING WORKSHOP PLANNED AT SALEM HIGH
Parenting workshop planned at Salem HighA workshop to help parents cope with issues concerning their children and schools will be held March 21 at Salem High School.
The program will begin at 9 a.m. and end about 1 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be Michael Chiglinsky, a clinical psychologist and adjunct professor at Roanoke College.
Six workshops will be offered to participants. Topics and leaders are sibling rivalry, Dana Ackley; high school youth, Jeanie Seay; middle school youth, Lois Trent; building communications, Jackie Turman; parents' self-esteem, Hildy Getz; and the hurried child, Louis Perrott.
The program is sponsored by Salem schools and the Salem Council of PTAs.
Advance registration is necessary by Feb. 28. More information can be obtained from Lewis Romano, director of student services for Salem schools, 375-7004.
There is no charge for the program and free child care will be available.
