BEARD, NAOMI G.

Naomi G. Beard, age 95, of Roanoke, died Wednesday at her home. She was the widow of Roy Mitchell Beard. She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Mitchell Beard. She was retired as Deputy City Tax Collector with 37 years service and a member of St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church. Surviving are a son, Alfred Leigh Beard, Doylestown, Pa.; a grandson, David Beard; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Beard. Graveside services will be held in Evergreen Burial Park at 1:00 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Frederick E. Taylor and the Rev. James Dirnard Smith officiating. Friends may call from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Oakey's South Chapel.
