SINGING GROUP TO PERFORM WITH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
The Highland Camerata, made up of area singers, will perform with the Mid-Atlantic Chamber Orchestra for the third time May 3 in Hillsville.
David Hoffman of Independence, the Camerata's director, plans to start rehearsals Tuesday at Brush Creek Hall on U.S. 21 south of Independence. "As always, the Camerata is open to all interested singers," he said.
Accompanist for rehearsals is Nancy Hazelwood of Galax. The concert will be under the auspices of the Arts and Cultural Council of the Twin Counties, covering Carroll and Grayson counties and the city of Galax.
