PULASKI COUNCILMAN REPAYS RETREAT COSTS
C. Donald Crispin says he opposes the spending of taxpayers' money for out-of-town conferences attended by Pulaski officials. That was why he repaid the town for his share of the $1,545 spent at a retreat held Nov. 1-2 at Mountain Lake in Giles County for members of Town Council.
Crispin said a retreat to discuss long-range municipal planning could have been held in town facilities or, if outside accommodations were deemed necessary, at the Dublin Comfort Inn and probably at no cost.
It is simply a matter of his personal belief, he said, that council members and administrators should pay their own way to meetings in other areas.
