PULASKI RECYCLING PROJECT MEETS GOAL
Anna Powers, Community Recycling spokeswoman, has announced that the recycling project has met its goals. The community has donated 50 tons of glass and 2 1/2 tons of aluminum since the program began in August 1988.This year's goal is to recycle 25 tons of glass and 1 1/2 tons of aluminum. Proceeds from selling the materials are used to buy food baskets for the needy. Community members may bring recyclables daily to First Presbyterian Church, Fourth and Jefferson streets.
