HOSPICE FORMS ADVISORY GROUP

The New River Valley Hospice has formed a professional advisory committee that will assist the hospice staff.

The volunteers will advise the staff on cost decisions, develop care guidelines, offer case guidance and provide professional, outside opinions.

The committee members are: G.C. Duck and Charles Tarasidis of Radford Community Hospital, Kathy Finney of Home Nutritional Services Inc., Dr. Paul Richards and Dr. Gerald Schertz, hematology and oncology specialists, Rene Trent, a nurse, and Janet Wilcke of Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Also on the committee are four area medical directors: Dr. Richard Alderfer for Radford; Dr. Donald Clary for Pulaski County; Dr. James Culley for Giles County; and Dr. William T. Hendricks for Montgomery County. Dr. Phil Barkley serves as the Hospice's board liaison to the committee.
