ORANGE, FREEMAN C.

Freeman Collins Orange, age 53, of Route 1, died Friday in a Bedford nursing home. He was born in Bedford County on January 23, 1939, a son of the late Okrey Wallace Orange and Lula Catherine Dooley "Kink" Orange, Thaxton. He was an employee of Rubatex Corp. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ella Anderson Orange; a brother, Ronald P. Orange; a sister, Joyce O. Thomas, both of Roanoke; two sons, F. Collins Orange, Jr., Thaxton and David W. Orange, Bedford; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 23, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Earl Ragland and Dr. Richard N. Boyce officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 7-8 p.m.
