PAY-PER-VIEW SALES TO HELP BRASS

Cox Cable Roanoke plans to donate $2 per order from a Feb. 29 pay-per-view basketball competition to benefit the Blue Ridge AIDS Support Services, BRASS president Larry Bly announced Friday.

The program, which starts at 9 p.m., is a one-on-one basketball game called "The Clash of the Legends between former NBA stars Julius "Dr. J" Erving and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J.

To order "The Clash of the Legends, Cox Cable subscribers may call 344-4637. The cost is $19.95 in advance or $24.95 day of the show. - Staff report
