LETTERS

Some letters about the proposed direct highway link and "smart road" were written before the Board of Supervisors' meeting last Monday, but arrived too late for publication before the meeting. The supervisors voted to uphold the board's earlier decision to support the project, but without an Ellett Valley interchange. The state Transportation board voted Thursday to approve the project. Letters were edited to eliminate references to meetings already past, while retaining the writers' opinions.
