FLINT-WHITTAKER

Robyn Kimberly Whittaker and Cpl. Garry Stephen Flint were married February 22, 1992, in Greenridge Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Palmer officiating. The reception was held at Vinton War Memorial. The maid of honor was Heather Newell, a friend. The bridesmaids were Susan Wright, Carla Salo and Michelle Waschler, friends of the bride; and Jennifer Jenkins, sister-in-law of the bride. The best man was Cpl. Teddy Pugh, a friend. The ushers were Edward Jenkins, stepfather of groom; Michael Ray, stepfather of bride; Dennis Watkins and Paul Routt, both friends. The guestbook was attended by Allison Moreth, a friend. The bride's gown was white bridal satin with pearl and sequin beadwork. She carried a red and white cascading bouquet. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Geoffrey Whittaker and Mrs. Sharon Ray, both of Roanoke. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School and is employed by Atlantic Mutual Co.'s. The groom is the son of Mr. Garry Flint and Mrs. Brenda Jenkins. He graduated from Cave Spring High School and is employed by the State of Virginia and USMC. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after a wedding trip to Pipestem, W. Va.
