Frances Evelyn Murrie and Darryl Allen Gearhart were married February 8, 1992 in Copper Hill Church of the Brethren. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Frank Wimmer. The reception was held at the church social hall. The matron of honor was Deborah M. Finney, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Anna C. Murrie, sister-in-law of the bride; and Sarah A. Gearhart, sister of the groom. Flowergirls were Michelle Finney, Kelli Murrie, Allison Murrie, nieces of the bride. The best man was Melvin E. Gearhart, father of the groom. The ushers were Frank E. Murrie, III, brother of the bride; and Michael B. Gearhart, brother of the groom. Ringbearer was Neal Finney, nephew of the bride. Photography by Jim Markey. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Murrie of Copper Hill. She is a graduate of Floyd County High School and Radford University. She is employed by Roanoke Memorial Hospital Respiratory Intensive Care Unit. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin E. Gearhart, of Copper Hill, is a graduate of Floyd County High School. He is employed by Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Department. The newlyweds will live in Copper Hill.
