JONAS ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Lilburn L. Jonas, of Roanoke, were honored on Saturday, February 22, at the Roanoke Airport Marriott to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

The surprise reception and dinner were attended by family and members of the wedding party. The evening was hosted by Mrs. Marcia Jonas Holtzman, of Edinburg, Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. L. Leroy Jonas, Jr., of Annapolis, Maryland.

The couple were married on February 26, 1942, at the Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren by the late Reverend J.S. Crumpacker, uncle of the bride.

Mrs. Jonas, the former Florence Marie Rieley, is the daughter of the late Eugene and Delia Crumpacker Rieley, of Bedford County. Mr. Jonas is the son of the late Claire Buck Jonas of Roanoke and the late B.S. Jonas of Wythe County. Mr. Jonas is a realtor, and the couple has lived in Botetourt County since 1945. They have one daughter, one son, and four grandchildren.
