SPEED SKIER KILLED
A Swiss speed skier out limbering up before the Olympics final in his event was killed instantly Saturday when he slammed into a snow-grooming vehicle, authorities said.Nicolas Bochatay, 27, the 1991 Swiss speed skiing champion, was killed while enjoying some recreational skiing with a teammate and other competitors before the final of his demonstration event. Bochatay, a carpenter, was married and had two children.
Organizers said an investigation will take place to determine the cause. A controversy has erupted over whether the snowcat was parked or moving at the time of the accident.
