GATEWAY WINS REGION, EARNS TRIP TO RICHMOND
Gateway Christian outscored Granite Christian 15-5 in the third quarter en route to a 63-52 victory and the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools Southwest Region basketball championship Saturday at the Lakeside Christian gym.
Brad Ewing led Gateway (18-5) with 14 points. Sam Moore added 13, Matt Linkous and Tim Henderson added 12 points apiece.
Henderson was selected the tournament's most valuable player. Ewing was also chosen to the all-tournament team.
