VIRGINIA RIPS KEYDETS 14-5 IN SEASON OPENER

Ron Zucchelli and Hans Martinsen slugged first-inning home runs and Virginia wiped out VMI 14-5 in the Cavaliers' baseball season opener Saturday.

Marc Taglieri added a homer in the seventh inning for the Cavaliers (1-0), who had 17 hits and scored four runs in each of the first, third and sixth innings.
