TRUMP WANTS TYSON TO BUY HIS WAY OUT

DONALD Trump's solution to Mike Tyson's conviction was for Tyson to fight a bout, all the proceeds to go to the young woman he raped.

What a message this sends, not only to people in our country, but to people around the world - that you simply pay your penalty for crime with money. The woman may accept this and become very wealthy, but what does this say to our youth regarding violence and crime?

I realize that, despite all his financial problems of recent years, Donald Trump is a very wealthy man and feels he can buy whatever he wants. But I think the people of our land need to have pride in themselves to say, "No, I cannot be bought." JOHN D. COCHRAN ROANOKE
