OBIT PEARMAN, K.
PEARMAN, KENNETH V. Kenneth Vivian "Pop" Pearman, age 87 of Roanoke,
beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather died Sunday at his
home. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and the Roanoke
Valley Wood Carvers Association. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ethel
Hawks Pearman; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Caroline Pearman; four
daughters and sons-in-law, Hope and Deaddy Patsel; Claudine and Solon Simpson;
Kathryn St.Clair; Winky and Thomas McCann, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren; a brother, H. Watson Pearman, Knoxville, Tenn.;
two sisters, Mrs. Stella Bedwell, Galax; Mrs. Aline Shupe, Fries; and numerous
nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton
Chapel 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 1992 with the Rev. Jean T. Rutherford
officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the
family suggests memorials to be made to the Memorial Fund of Mt. Pleasant
United Methodist Church or Mt. Pleasant First Aid Crew. Friends may call at
Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
