Because of a copy editor's error, a photo caption in Monday's Virginia section gave an incorrect description of a beach scene in Bangladesh. The people pictured were making gravel. Joel Branscom's name was misspelled in two photo captions with the story.

Because of a copy editor's error, an incorrect score for the Rice-Virginia Tech women's tennis match appeared in Monday's sports section. Rice won 9-0.
