ANDERSON, RUBY L.

Ruby Lee Anderson, age 70, of Sarasota, Fla., died February 24, 1992 in a local hospital. She was born March 3, 1921 in Roanoke, Va. and came here from there 34 years ago. She had been a proof-reader with the Sarasota Herald Tribune for 22 years before retiring. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3233 Women's Auxiliary, the D.A.V. Chapter #97 Women's Auxiliary and the Does of B.P.O.E. Lodge #1519 all of Sarasota. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include her husband, William E. (Andy) of Sarasota; two daughters, Catherine Cosgrove of Los Angeles, Calif.; Teresa of Sarasota; one grandson, Alan Cosgrove of Brandon, Fla.; one great-grandson, Stephen Cosgrove of Brandon, Fla.; two brothers, Tracey Barkley of Newport News, Va.; Roger Barkley of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters, Jean Musslewhite of Rocky Mount, Va.; Amelia Peters of Roanoke, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Toale Brothers Colonial Chapel, Sarasota, Fla. The funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel is in charge.
