DAVIS, DOROTHY B.

Dorothy Brown Davis, age 90, of Roanoke, died Tuesday morning, February 25, 1992 in a Salem nursing home. She was the widow of Ernest E. Davis. Mrs. Davis was employed as a Dental Assistant to Dr. Kyle T. Lee for 30 years and until retirement she was employed at the Hotel Roanoke Newsstand & Gift Shop. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Elsie Brown and James Hampton (Ham) Rice; her niece and husband, Marie and Doug Freeman and their daughter, Jennifer Freeman; a nephew, Steve C. Rice and his wife, Marian and their sons, Gregory and Zachary; also surviving are several cousins and a devoted friend, Mrs. Mary Fralin. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel, 1:00 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. James A. Beverley officiating. A Eulogy will be given by Mr. James H. Rademacher. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
