WORKSHOP TO ASSIST NEW BUSINESS OWNERS

Thinking about starting a new business? A "Workshop for Prospective Business Owners" will be held March 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., in the community room of the New River Valley Mall.

The workshop will provide information about starting a business and will update small-business owners on skills and knowledge of business management.

Subjects to be covered include organization and planning, financial records, financial sources, regulations, taxes and insurance and advertising.

The workshop is sponsored by the Montgomery Regional Economic Development Commission, the New River Valley Small Business Development Center and the Service Corps of Retired Executives. It costs $20 and is limited to 45 participants. For a registration packet, call 382-5732.
