PHIL VAN TEE? FUNNY - AND HE PLAYS A TIN WHISTLE

He's the consummate purveyor of light, love and schtick and his notoriety is growing nationwide.

He's Phil Van Tee, a 6-foot-7-inch, 160-pound comic who has appeared on the Comedy Channel and Comedy Tonight. He's also been taped by Showtime's "Comedy Club Network."

Van Tee plays it local at South Main Cafe's Comedy Club on Sunday. The cover charge is $3.

Van Tee was born in Chapel Hill, N.C., and raised in Ohio. He graduated from Ringling Brothers Clown College in Venice, Fla., and for 15 years has performed from Denver to Cleveland, from Puerto Rico to Ontario, from the Cayman Islands to Seattle, and many points in between.

He's a published cartoonist and writer, and an actor, singer, juggler and dancer. He even plays the tin whistle. For more information, call 552-3622.
