CORDLE, DOROTHY L.

Mrs. Dorothy Hanes Lancaster Cordle, of Smith Mountain Lake, died Thursday. Mrs. Cordle, a Longwood College graduate, taught at South Salem Elementary School for 22 years. She also worked for several years with the Hollins College Police Department. She is survived by her husband, John David Cordle; two stepdaughters, Teresa Cordle Berry, Vinton; Michelle Lane Cordle, Salem; a brother and sister, Harry V. Lancaster and Lucy Lancaster Ferguson, both of Richmond. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 29, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
