MORRISON, WALTER F.
BUENA VISTA - Walter Franklin Morrison, 80, died Thursday in a Lexington Hospital. He was born in Iredell County, N.C. September 28, 1911, the son of the late James P. and Susie Anne Morrison. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from textiles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Munday Morrison and a son, C. J. Morrison. He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Konda T. Morrison of Buena Vista; one granddaughter, Crystal Morrison of Buena Vista; three grandsons, Michael W. Morrison of Winchester; Anthony T. Morrison of Sanford, N.C.; James P. Morrison of Lexington; one sister, Margaret Reavis of Statesville, N.C.; four brothers, J. P. Morrison, Press Morrison and Henry Morrison, all of Statesville, N.C. and Tom Morrison of Jamestown, N.C.; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Bunch-Johnson Funeral Chapel, Statesville, N.C. at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29 with the Rev. Robert Glasgow officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Statesville, N.C. Arrangements by Lomax Funeral Home.
