MCCARTHY ON STATE SOCCER TEAM

Roanoke Catholic's P.J. McCarthy and Cave Spring's Steve Collins have been selected to the state of Virginia's Under-19 Olympic Development boys' soccer team.

Stewart Baucom of North Cross was picked as an alternate to the 16-player squad chosen in trials in Williamsburg two weeks ago.
