WYTHE COUNTY MAN ADMITS ROLE IN SHOOTING

A 21-year-old Wythe County man has admitted participating in the shooting and wounding of county landfill foreman Danny Copenhaver two years ago this month.

Nathan Vincent Lovern of Barren Springs changed his plea to guilty after a jury heard the prosecution's case Wednesday.

Lovern, arrested last April, had given statements admitting his involvement. He said he drove the person who fired the shot, still unidentified, to Copenhaver's home.
