SCOTT, KATHARINE E.Katharine E. Scott, age 89, died Friday morning in Cincinnati, Ohio. Daughter of the late, Emmett and Matilda Simpson Bruffey. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thurman Scott in 1961, a former Professor of Psychology at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio; three sisters, Lelia Day, Hope Razor, Frances Springall; two brothers, Frank and Harry Bruffey. She was born in Charlottesville, Va., graduate of Charlottesville High School in 1920 and member of First Methodist Church, Athens. She was a resident of Athens since 1929. Survived by two daughters, Margaret Scott, San Francisco; Carol Scott, Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Harrison and Sonya Scott, West Chester, Ohio; two grandchildren, David Scott, Tucson, Ariz.; Laura Scott, Los Angeles. Graveside services Sunday 1:00 p.m. at Christiansburg Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, Va. conducted by Rev. Rich Geohagen of St. Pauls Methodist Church.
