4TH CANDIDATE ENTERS PULASKI COUNCIL RACE

J.R. Schrader Jr. has become the fourth candidate for Pulaski Town Council and the first incumbent to declare intentions of seeking re-election.

The deadline for filing in the registrar's office is 7 p.m. Tuesday.

There are four seats open in the May 5 elections.

The others are held by Alma Holston, Jim Neblett and Mary Lou Copenhaver.

The earlier declared candidates are political newcomers Roy D'Ardenne, Elbert G. Black Jr. and Joe Weddle.

More announcements are anticipated, though.

Schrader had indicated earlier that he might not run again.

He is completing his first four-year term on the governing body.
