Less than nine months after their wedding in Hungary, artist Jeff Koons is divorcing Cicciolina, the Italian porn star turned member of Italy's Parliament.

"The differences between our cultural and social standings are too great," Koons said in a statement released by his New York office.

The statement didn't say where or when he would file for divorce.

Koons married Cicciolina, whose real name is Ilona Staller, on June 1 in her native Hungary.

Cicciolina, 39, made headlines last year when she offered to have sex with Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein in return for peace in the Persian Gulf region.

Koons gained fame as a pop artist with his stainless steel rabbits, floating basketballs and a statue of Michael Jackson.

Judge Mary Lupo, who presided over the rape trial of William Kennedy Smith, will do the honors at a mock trial at Yale, a student group said Friday.

Last year, Judge Joseph Wapner of "The People's Court" was the celebrity judge for the annual proceeding sponsored by the Yale Law School Barristers' Union.

Lupo will not discuss the Kennedy case during her visit for the April 24 trial, said Lynn Underhill of the Barristers' Union. The subject of the mock trial was not announced.

Movie star Mickey Rourke's new career as a fashion photographer has been dashed faster than he can say "cheese."

Rourke was to have been paid $75,000 to photograph the spring catalog for Parasuco, a Canadian-based company that makes denim sportswear and high-fashion clothes, New York magazine says. But when he turned in his first batch of photos, they were deemed unusable.

A company source says Rourke didn't fully grasp the concept. "They were supposed to be of CLOTHES," says the source. "But he took almost entirely head shots."

Snow White and Mickey Mouse helped cut the cake at Elizabeth Taylor's 60th birthday bash this week at Disneyland. Barry Manilow was emcee and sang "I Made It Through the Rain."

"This is the best birthday party I've ever had," said Taylor, accompanied by her eighth husband, Larry Fortensky.

Among the hundreds of guests were Carrie Fisher, Michael York, Tom Selleck, Shirley MacLaine, Dennis Hopper and Stevie Wonder.

Taylor, in black jeans and a glitter jacket, arrived with Fortensky in a white, horse-drawn carriage. Partygoers were carried to Fantasyland by vintage automobiles decorated with orchids.

Trumpeters welcomed guests inside the castle, which was filled with folk dancers, jugglers, a band and balloons. Goofy, Mickey Mouse and other costumed characters mingled.

Other guests were Melissa Manchester, Jon Voight, Henry Winkler, David Bowie, Gregory Peck, a very blonde Delta Burke, Dionne Warwick, Joni Mitchell, Richard Gere and Geena Davis.

Stella Roush is looking forward to her 24th birthday today. That event is unusual only when you know that she has lived in two centuries, seen two world wars and witnessed the administrations of 19 presidents.

Roush, of Chanute, Kan., was born Stella Mae West on Feb. 29, 1892. She usually celebrates on Feb. 28, also the birthday of one of her grandsons. But actual Feb. 29 birthdays - those are special.
