SCOTT, HOBART L.Hobart Lee Scott, age 85, of Friendship Manor died Friday, February 28, 1992. He was a member of Green Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Scott retired as Director of Special Services of the N&W Railway in March of 1969. He served the N&W for over 44 years in many important capacities. He was responsible for the operating studies presented to the Interstate Commerce Commission in support of N&W-Virginian and the N&W-Nickle Plate-Wabash unifications. He was also the principle operating witness for N&W and C&O in their recent merger hearings before the commission. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willie Housman Scott; one son and daughter-in-law, Hobart Lee Scott, Jr. and wife, Evelyn Seay Scott of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Amy Kay Scott of Norfolk; David Lee Scott and wife, Mary Anne Scott of Marietta, Ga.; two great-grandsons, Aaron Lee Scott and Corey Lee Scott; one brother and sister-in-law, William B. Scott and wife, Dorothy of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 1992 with the Rev. Walter M. Lockett, Jr. officiating. Entombment will be in Sherwood Chapel Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Memorial United Methodist Church or to a favorite charity. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
