BAD SIGN: BUSH WITH SCHWARZENEGGER
SINCE NEW Hampshire, pundits have criticized George Bush for injecting another irrelevance into his campaign by playing second banana to Arnold Schwarzenegger across that unhappy state. The real picture is far worse than merely making use of every passing celebrity and/or taking out some more anti-wimp insurance. In a nation steadily sliding into uncontrollable violence, Schwarzenegger is the worst possible role model for America's alienated youth. He has piled up great wealth peddling unlimited mindless violence.
The president of the United States has validated Schwarzenegger's image by appointing him to the Physical Fitness Council and by appearing with him as an equal. The extra element of sly Kennedy-bashing clearly appeals to the inner George Bush. (Schwarzenegger's wife is Sen. Ted Kennedy's niece.)
Bush's stated policy of "whatever it takes to win" includes contributing to the destruction of our society from the bottom up. AUGUSTUS C. JOHNSON SYRIA
