ROBERTS-ROBERTS

Melissa Dawn (Chocklett) Roberts and Jerry Lee Roberts reaffirmed their wedding vows on February 22, 1992, in Vinton Baptist Church. The Rev. T. G. Ayers officiated the candlelight ceremony. The reception followed at the Lancerlot Banquet Room. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, George W. Chocklett.

The matron's of honor were Donna Britt, cousin of bride, and Lisa Wolfe, friend of bride. The bridesmaids were Melissa Montgomery, Dawn Montgomery, cousins of bride; Brenda Brewster, Kristy Boothe, cousins of groom; and Kim Roberts, sister of groom. Flowergirls were Mary and Michelle Britt, cousins of bride.

The best man was Robert Roberts, father of groom. The ushers were Albert Roberts, brother of groom; Sammy Harris, brother-in-law of groom; Jimmy Wolfe and Mike Martin, cousins of groom; Nelson Britt, cousin of bride; and Claude Henson, uncle of bride. Ringbearers were Josh Roberts, son of groom; and Brian Wolfe, cousin of groom.

Music was provided by Louis Smith; vocal selections were given by Molly Harris and Robert Ruff.

The bride's gown was of white satin featuring a Victorian neckline, sheer yoke accented with cascading pearls. Long formal sleeves are cut out with illusion heavily appliqued with schiffli lace highlighted with pearls and iridescents. The fitted bodice was adorned with lace with a peplum featured at the waist. A full bridal skirt flows into a cathedral length train edged in beaded schiffli lace. A headpiece of silk flowers and iridescents featured a large shoulder length triple pouff. She carried a cascade arrangement of cala lilies, stepahnotis, lily-of-the valley and roses. The wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses were from Formal Occasions.

The bride, daughter of Betty and George Chocklett, is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Va. Western Community College. She is employed by Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The groom, son of Elma and Robert Roberts, attended William Byrd High School. He is employed by R.L. Roberts Plumbing & Heating.

The couple will live in Roanoke after a wedding trip to Florida.
