OBIT CRABTREE, S.

CRABTREE, SIDNEY R. SALTVILLE - Mr. Sidney Ray Crabtree, age 84, died Friday evening in the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Edith B. Crabtree, last Saturday. He was a member of The New Cove Church. He is survived by three sons, William Theodore Crabtree, Superior, W.Va.; Hughes Crabtree, Philadelphia, Pa.; Kenneth Crabtree, Gray Court, S.C.; one daughter, Ione Kosmos, Fairless Hills, Pa.; two brothers, Glenn Crabtree, Saltville; Fred Crabtree, Newton Square, Pa.; three sisters, Lessie McGoldrick, Philadelphia, Pa.; Bertha Carter, Saltville; Jessie Parrish, Ashland, Ohio; ten grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the Ridgedale Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening at The D. R. Henderson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saltville/Rich Valley Rescue Squad.
