ROANOKE RUGBY CLUB WIPES OUT TRIAD 33-6

The Roanoke Rugby Club "A" side kicked off its season on Saturday by smashing Triad (N.C.) 33-6 at Lincoln Terrace Elementary School.

Blane Segal led Roanoke by scoring 18 points on one try, two penalty kicks, one drop goal and four conversions.

Triad won the "B" match 20-3. Roanoke will play Raleigh next Saturday at Lincoln Terrace. - Staff report
