AUSTIN, ROBERT H. Robert Hardin Austin, age 69 of Roanoke, died Saturday,
February 29, 1992. He was a member of First Baptist Church and retired office
manager of Wood Bros Coffee Company, was a member of the Three Hundred Club
and an army veteran of World War II and a member of Roanoke Lodge #197
B.P.O.E. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eunice Mannon Austin; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Robert Michael Austin and wife, Nancy, Raleigh, N. C.;
Charles Arthur Austin and wife, Nina, Virginia Beach; one daughter and
son-in-law, Catherine Austin Adkins and husband, William D. II, Roanoke; six
grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Robert and Kristina Austin; Lindsey and Ross
Adkins; two sisters, Thelma A. Lawrence of Hampton; Penny A. Smith, Kingsport,
Tenn.; one brother, David Austin, Bristol, Tenn. Funeral services will be
conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3 with the Rev.
Charles E. Ward officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist
Church, Roanoke. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will
receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
