FERRUM BASEBALL TEAM WINS 2 IN FLORIDA

Ferrum routed St. Bonaventure 14-4 in its first baseball game Sunday, then beat John Carroll University of Ohio 10-1.

In the first game, Chris Holt went 3-for-3 with six RBI and Gerald Smith was 3-for-3 with 2 RBI.

In the second game, Jeremy Hill was 3-for-3 with two RBI, including a solo home run in the third inning. Randy Lawrence from Christiansburg High School pitched a complete game and had 10 strikeouts.

Ferrum is 3-0, St. Bonaventure 5-2 and John Carroll 0-1. - Staff report
