TWO MEN LEAD POLICE ON CAR CHASE

Two men led state police on a 25-minute chase on the West Virginia Turnpike after running past a toll booth Sunday, authorities said.

The two were captured Sunday evening after as many as 20 officers joined in a search, state police said.

James Hatcher, 20, and Vernon Brown, 22, both of Norton, Ohio, were being questioned Sunday night at the state police detachment in Princeton, police said.

A toll-taker on Interstate 77 reported that the men said they didn't have money for the $1.25 toll.

The men sped away, leading police on a chase that at times reached speeds of more than 115 mph. They abandoned the car near Ingleside and ran into the woods, police said.
